Privacy-focused social platform created from the ground up with enthusiast features in mind. Designed in Figma, built with SwiftUI, Firebase, CloudFlare. Available on the App Store with ~30 daily active users. Wristy is the new way to talk watches. A privacy-first, enthusiast-focused social platform for watch lovers. There is no addictive algorithm, no ads, and no data selling.
What originally started as Caliber became Wristy - the app I always wished to exist, so I built it. Users can view and post to a daily expiring feed, interacting with their connections until their posts disappear after 24 hours. Each post builds the users’ wearing statistics, virtual collections and wishlists, and serves as a one-stop shop for anyone wanting to keep a concise gallery of all their watches and see which ones they wear the most. I’ve heard from users that it eliminates multiple other apps and combines them intuitively. It’s a social media platform, stats sheet, photo gallery, and time capsule all in one.
My goal is to scale Wristy to be the definitive way to talk watches, and stay as an “ethical” social media platform. Rather than influencing, I want users to be informed and connected.
I started building the app in February 2026 and released it to the App Store in April after a short time in TestFlight. It’s built with SwiftUI, Firebase for most of the infrastructure, and CloudFlare for image and video storage. I tried to build a more contemporary and functional UI than existing platforms like Instagram or Facebook. Everything is operated through a Liquid Glass dynamic menu at the bottom of the screen. There are no side menus and no need to reach into the top corners of the screen for anything.
